From a sequence of photographs by Nicholas Nixon. Four sisters shown over twenty-four years. The blonde one, second from right, is the photographer’s wife. The only formal constraint seems to be that they’re always in the same left-to-right order. I’m a sucker for this brand of time-lapse photography. It seems to prompts all sorts of guesswork about what’s been happening between the taking of each photo.
